Al Cafaro

AL CAFARO is the former President and CEO of A&M records, where he worked with a variety of worldwide recording artists including Sting, Soundgarden, Janet Jackson, Gin Blossoms, Blues Traveler, UB 40, REM, Bryan Adams, Supertramp, The Police, Squeeze, Cat Stevens, Peter Frampton, Van Morrison, Elton John, Barry White, Styx, Amy Grant, Toby Keith, Patty Griffin, Sheryl Crow and many others.

From his days as the GM of a "progressive music" radio station, through his twenty-two years with A&M Records, to his current position as CO-CEO of Metropolitan Talent - artists and their music have been central to Al's career. In his current capacity, Cafaro and his partner John Scher promote concerts and national tours out of their NYC base. 

Knowing that talent rarely comes fully formed, Cafaro has a ear and eye for spotting promising young artists - as well as a great appreciation for the desire, determination and fearlessness it takes to stand in front of an audience and perform.
