"COMMUNITY AUDITIONS - STAR OF THE DAY"

Before there was AMERICAN IDOL, AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, or THE VOICE… New England had "COMMUNITY AUDITIONS"!

"COMMUNITY AUDITIONS - STAR OF THE DAY" is the nation’s longest running entertainment TV series in history.  What has kept the show so popular, over the last 65 years, is our commitment to showcasing the VERY BEST talent New England has to offer.

Past performers have gone on to be finalists on American Idol and The Voice, and one of our 2011 contestants, MEGHAN TRAINER, topped the charts in both the U.S. and around the globe with her #1 hit song, “IT'S ALL ABOUT THAT BASS”.

the competition

Each 30-minute show is comprised of three (3) performances.  In order to pick the “Star of the Day”, each act is rated by a rotating panel of celebrity judges and the studio audience. The winner returns to compete the following week, against two new contestants.  Performers who win four (4) consecutive times, move on to the finals.

"Your Vote Holds the Key"...TO THE FINALS!

Final candidates are also selected from viewers’ votes online. Each week, we encourage our viewing audience to cast their votes for their favorite performances via the Community Auditions online voting module or through Twitter and Facebook.

the prizes

Contestants who reach the finals will be competing for a record produced by legendary music producer, Bob Johnston, and a brand new Subaru Impreza!
