Charlie Farren — Community Auditions

Charlie Farren

CHARLIE FARREN is an American musician, composer and guitarist best known as the lead singer of the rock bands The Joe Perry Project and FARRENHEIT. He’s long known for his acoustic performances – capturing audiences with his unique delivery, soaring vocals, and innovative guitar style.

He emerged onto the national scene in the early ’80s as lead singer and guitarist with The Joe Perry Project. In that band, Charlie established himself as one of Boston’s hottest young singers – writing the hits ‘Listen To The Rock,’ ‘East Coast, West Coast,’ and ‘I’ve Got The Rock And Rolls Again’.

In 1986, Charlie formed the band FARRENHEIT, along with Dave Hull (Joe Perry Project) and John Muzzy, and released their self-titled debut album on the Warner Brothers label. With three hit singles from that album and strong video exposure on MTV, FARRENHEIT established themselves as one of the premiere new rock acts of the decade.

He recently launched his 16th release through his own FMan Media label, and is dedicated to managing his extensive CD and publishing catalog.

This year, Farren is kicking off the 5th Season Premiere of On Stage with Mantis – performing a solo set of classics, with a few new songs blended in.
