HOW DID YOU GET INTERESTED IN MUSIC IN THE FIRST PLACE?

"At four years old I saw The Wizard of Oz for the very first time. After watching and hearing Judy Garland sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” I was completely captured. Those words – “and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true” planted a seed in my head and in my heart. I watched it over and over. My parents saw that music meant more to me than most kids at that age and gave me a little Casio keyboard. I taught myself to play by ear – and so began my love affair!"

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT SO FAR?

"Although I was mostly a happy kid I wasn’t always comfortable in my own skin. I felt that people could never truly see past my wheelchair or what makes me physically different – until I finally began sharing with others the songs that I had been writing for years. The more I shared the less “heavy” I felt."
