Candy O'Terry

CANDY O’TERRY is the lead judge on Community Auditions.  On the air at Magic 106.7/WMJX for nearly 25 years, Candy is household name in a city where she has connected with listeners in ways no other on-air talent has. 

Heard most recently as co-host on Morning Drive, Candy is also the creator and co-host of the station’s Exceptional Women show, winner of 43 local and national awards for excellence in women’s programming. 

It’s rare to find a woman who not only plays songs on the radio, but sings them herself.  Candy has released 4 songs for airplay including The Gift, You Are The Only One, Silent Night and To Make You Feel My Love.  Her new single Hasten Down The Wind is now available on her first full-length album entitled Dream Come True.  She has also acted in 3 locally produced feature films including Lazarus Rising, starring Eric Roberts.

The co-founder and President of Boston Women in Media & Entertainment, Candy served as the radio spokesperson for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk for the past 15 years - and is a member of the Boston College Women’s Council. 

She serves on the boards of Dream BIG, Strong Women, Strong Girls and the Warrior Dog Foundation/New England.   A life long swimmer, Candy runs a swimming program every summer and is in the process of writing a children's book series with her daughter, Colleen.
