Steve Sweeney

STEVE SWEENEY is a legendary Boston comedian known for his mastery of dialects and character voices. His Boston accent and idiosyncratic mannerisms are the hallmark of his stand-up act.

Steve’s trademark political satire has earned him top host spots on Boston radio stations 100.7FM WZLX (Sweeney’s Neighborhood) and 95.9FM WATD (Jay Mohr and Opie & Anthony.)

This seasoned performer has kept audiences laughing for years, headlining at comedy clubs across the country, including Carolines On Broadway in New York City. He has been featured on television’s Comedy Central Network,Late Night With David Letterman and Evening at the Improv and starred in his own Boston-based sitcom, Park Street Under.

Film credits include supporting roles in There’s Something About Mary and Me, Myself & Irene. He also appeared opposite Rodney Dangerfield in the comedy, Back to School.  Recent credits include roles in The Equalizer, with Denzel Washingtonand The Forger, starring John Travolta and Christopher Plummer.

A graduate of Charlestown High School, Steve earned a BA in Theatre Arts at the University of Massachusetts Boston and an MFA from the University of Southern California.

Steve lives just outside his hometown of Boston and when not working, loves to spend quiet time with his dog and friends.
